A pro-Palestinian Columbia University activist arrested by ICE agents will remain in jail. A federal judge who made the ruling in Mahmoud Khalil's deportation hearing is weighing further arguments in the case. The White House claims Khalil's pro-Palestinian activism was anti-Semitic and pro-Hamas.        Canada and the European Union are seeing President Trump's 25-percent tariffs on steel and aluminum and raising their own tariffs. The EU is announcing counter tariffs on U.S. goods worth 28-billion dollars. Canada announced 25-percent reciprocal tariffs on around 20-billion-dollars of American goods.        Authorities have named a person of interest in connection with a University of Pittsburgh student missing in the Dominican Republic. Authorities had previously questioned 24-year-old Joshua Riibe from Iowa, who was identified as one of two men walking to the beach with the missing student. Sudiksha Konanki was reported last seen on March 6th.        A new study says lung cancer patients in the area of wildfires are in the hospital longer than patients who are not in an active wildfire zone. The study published in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute emphasizes that exposure to smoke is only one of multiple threats to patients' health. The study noted that health care providers' reluctance to discharge patients in a potentially unsafe environment could play a role in the extended hospital stays.        The maker of the Roomba robotic vacuum cleaners may not be in business much longer. Massachusetts-based I-Robot is telling investors it has "substantial doubt" it will be able to continue unless it can overcome its financial issues within the next year. A deal to be purchased by Amazon for nearly two-billion-dollars fell through early last year.        The Spinal Tap sequel is arriving in theaters just 41 short years after the original rock mockumentary premiered. "Spinal Tap 2: The End Continues" is set for a September 12th release and a 30-second teaser hit the internet on Wednesday. Christopher Guest, Michael McKean and Harry Shearer are all reprising their roles from 1984's "This Is Spinal Tap."
