First Lady Jill Biden's guests for tonight's State of the Union address will reflect issues the President cares about deeply. The White House says the family of Tyre Nichols, who died after being beaten by Memphis police officers last month, is joining Dr. Biden in a congressional viewing box. The list also includes Ukraine's ambassador and U2 lead singer Bono.    Officials say more than 63-hundred people are dead following a devastating earthquake in Turkey and Syria. More than half of those deaths happened in Turkey. Numerous countries including the U.S. have pledged aid to make sure both countries are able to recover.    The House Ethics Committee is conducting a formal investigation of New York Congressman George Santos. House Speaker Kevin McCarthy confirmed the probe for the first time today. McCarthy telling reporters "Ethics is moving through, and if Ethics finds something, we'll take action."
New details are coming to light about a Virginia school administrator who reportedly failed to act and prevent a six-year-old student from shooting his teacher. An intent-to-sue letter identifies Assistant Vice Principle Dr. Ebony Parker as the school official who was allegedly told three times that the student was armed and failed to call police, evacuate students, or lock down the school.    Americans will spend an estimated 26-billion dollars on Valentine's Day gifts this year. The National Retail Federation says that works out to an average of about 193-dollars per person for flowers, cards, candy and other gifts for friends, loved ones and even coworkers. It's also about 20-bucks more than last year's average.    A toddler is okay after getting her head stuck in a cake pan. Firefighters in Lewistown, Pennsylvania, responded to the home of Erin Meixel after her two-year-old Quinnley got her stuck in a angel food cake pan with the middle section removed. Firefighters were able to remove the pan with the help of tin snaps.
